What Would be The Title of Your Life Story? Why?

When I was bestowed the honor of “Women of Distinction” by the Philadelphia Business Journal, we were asked to come up to the podium and give 6 words or a phrase that best describes us.

As simple as this exercise seems, the reality it that it too some time. I found myself really thinking about what 6 words would best describe me. Some women took the approach of defining themselves in the roles in their lives – Mother, Wife, Educator, Singer, This and That.

Others, such as myself chose to find a phrase or group of words that really connected us to what we were feeling at the moment.

Mine “Living Out Loud and Loving It”

Because the truth of the matter is, I was at the top of my game in all areas of my life. I was surrounded by my family, friends and coworkers who all came out to support me. I was blessed with the news that my Mother had survived breast cancer and overall, life was good and I wanted to live every moment of it!

This month, I picked up a copy of Oprah magazine and her editors ask a similar question. What your be the title to your life story?

Nothing is more powerful that the stories of our lives. We own it, it is 100% ours – all the ups and downs that come with it and I believe everyone not only has a story to tell, but should stand upon a rooftop and shout it to the world,

Because all of our stories are important. Take a moment below and share with me your story or simply, What would be the title of Your Life Story?
